“IT’S TOO HARD!”

Jeremiah 32:17-18

“Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them—the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the LORD of hosts.”

Do you recall back when you were a child being asked by one of your parents to do a task only to find it too hard for you? In tears you may have gone back to that parent saying; “It’s too hard for me!” That may have occurred many years ago, but perhaps you may still be able to recall how you felt.

I hope that along with the frustration of not being able to do that “something” which was too hard for you. If you think long enough, you may be able to remember your parents or some other adult coming along beside you. With very little difficulty they were able to accomplish that “impossible task. Why? Because they were bigger, stronger, and possessed the ability to do it.

Right now in your life, you may be encountering problems which you feel are just too hard for you. It may be physical, financial, emotional, behavioral, or spiritual, but it just seems too hard for you. The problems seem so impossible for you that you see no solution.

I guess I’m enough of a kid that I still like to think like a kid. As a kid, when something was too hard, we started yelling (or softly pleading) that it was just too hard. Two things would happen; either we were told that it was not too hard and to get back at the task (this was generally the case), or we were helped by big strong hands, to do what our little hands could not do.

We are told in Galatians 4:6, that our relationship to God is like that of a small child to his earthly father. “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out , Abba, Father.” The term “Abba” may be defined as, Dada or Daddy. That is how near and precious is our relationship with God.

Sooooo, with that in mind, why in the world do we whimper about our inability to deal with the big problems of our life? If we are faced with a load too heavy for us to lift, take it to your “Abba Father.” He will either show you how to better handle the load, or He will handle it Himself.

We need to constantly be in communication with Our Mighty God in heaven who always has an outstretched arm to handle our burdens. Now remember, He may allow those burdens to be there as a means to teach us and discipline us. Just because we wail and moan does not mean He will be right there to remove the weight. The burdens will make us stronger and more mature. The promise that He gives is that He will never allow the burdens to crush us. Aren’t you glad?!

We can’t! He can! That’s all we need to know—Let’s go!

Blessings dear hearts. Walk with God today, trust Him completely and be a blessing.
